Janet Mackenzie (Co-President)
Janet MacKenzie, a native of Pittsford, NY, holds degrees from the University of Rochester and the Sorbonne, in Paris. After a brief period as a municipal bond trader on Wall Street, she became a teacher of High School English and Humanities. She taught in Greenwich High School from 1969-2005. Among the courses she developed was an interdisciplinary Russian Studies class. Since retiring, Janet has been studying creative writing. An avid reader, she leads a book discussion group in Darien, CT. Her other interests include gardening, quilting, and swimming. A resident of Greenwich since 1968, Janet lives on Old Mill Road, with her husband, Donald MacKenzie, a retired pilot and a registered realtor. The MacKenzies have one daughter, Heather, who is married and living abroad.
Keith Felcyn (Co-President)
Editor of the RHA newsletter since its inception in 2000, Keith has lived on Round Hill Road since 1975 and brings ample experience to the post. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and recipient of a Professional Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University. He retired as a Senior Editor and Chief of Correspondents from BusinessWeek magazine after four decades. He and his wife, Sylvia, an artist, have two children and four grandsons.
Leight Retzler
Leigh Retzler, a native of Middlebury, CT, graduated from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio and did graduate studies at the College of New Rochelle. She moved to Greenwich in 1965 and then to Porchuck Road, her current residence, in 1968. Leigh taught at Glenville School from 1965-1971 and at the Round Hill Nursery School from 1988 to the present. Leigh was an active member of the Round Hill Community Guild for many years and a volunteer at the Audubon Center. She is a member of the parent board of the Round Hill Nursery School and has been a member of the parent boards of the Brunswick School and Greenwich High School. A current board member of the Flinn Gallery at Greenwich Library, she is an active gardener and an avid reader.
Courtney Spada
Courtney Spada, MD (formerly Courtney Raker) is a graduate of Greenwich High School, where she was an All-American soccer player. She received a degree in psychology from Brown University where she was an All-Ivy soccer selection. Courtney went on to receive her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed a residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY. In addition to pediatrics, Courtney is passionate about teaching and is currently on the faculty of Greenwich Academy where she teaches science and coaches soccer. She lives on Mooreland Road with her husband, Charlie, an attorney and their three children (Emma 15, Luke 7, Jake 2).
Steve Mulligan
Steve Mulligan grew up on a farm in Nebraska, worked in California and New York, and moved here from North Salem, NY. After 20 years at Citibank in global corporate sales, technology, and credit, he now heads Mulligan Enterprises, focusing on technology startups, funding, and consulting. In North Salem he was on the boards of the library, the 4-H club, and the public schools fiscal committee and was president and treasurer of the North Salem Bridle Trails. He and his wife Deanna live on Mooreland Road.
