Time-Sensitive Alert to Mid- and Back-Country!
If you haven’t already, check your mailbox asap. Applications for Absentee Ballots have begun arriving in our neighborhood!
Given occasional problems with mail delivery during COVID, if you don’t receive yours within the next day or so, contact the Town Clerk’s office per instructions* below from the link on the Town of Greenwich website: https://www.greenwichct.gov/582/Voter-Registration
*All registered voters in Connecticut will be mailed absentee ballot applications in September for the November 3, 2020 election. If you wish to vote by absentee ballot, complete the application and use the supplied postage paid envelope to mail it to Greenwich’s Town Clerk. The Town Clerk will mail out absentee ballots starting on October 2nd.
Absentee ballots can be mailed to the Town Clerk or voters can return absentee ballots by depositing them in one of Greenwich’s two new ballot boxes. One is located outside Town Hall near the visitor parking lot in what was formerly the parking meter kiosk. The other is in the lobby of the police station. The ballot boxes are available 24/7 and absentee ballots may be deposited in them up to 8 PM on Election Day.
If you do not receive an absentee ballot application or have other questions about the process, call 203-622-7897, or click here to contact the Town Clerk’s Office. While the Registrars count the ballots on election day, the process of applying for, receiving, and returning completed absentee ballots is under the jurisdiction of the Town Clerk.
