This Saturday April 25, members of the Round Hill Association (RHA) honored Earth Day by cleaning up the litter along several roads in the backcountry.  Approximately a dozen resident volunteers in 3-4 teams walked both sides of Old Mill Road, Porchuck Road, Burying Hill Road, and Will Merry Road in neon yellow vests toting plastic bags searching for discarded trash.

The efforts started at 8:30 am and lasted several hours before the rain began. Coffee and bagels were provided for participants at the Round Hill Store.  In all, the RHA group collected over 12 plastics bags which were then taken to the Greenwich Recycling Station.

This action is one of several ways the RHA serves the best interests of the Round Hill community in providing the opportunity to connect with neighbors, maintain and enhance the natural beauty of our area, and advocate for our interests in the town of Greenwich.
