After years of enjoying the laid-back lifestyle of Venice Beach, Coco and Jason felt it was time for a new chapter. In June 2023, they packed up their car along with their beloved dog, Mookie, and embarked on a cross-country adventure. “Our trip across-country was filled with amazing landscapes, many hours of Harry Potter audiobooks, and, naturally, loading up the car with as many fireworks as possible along the way,” Coco reflects. Eventually, the couple arrived at their final destination, Old Mill Farm, where they rented for the last year before buying a home on Bedford Road where they moved in November of last year.
Coco grew up in Greenwich and attended Greenwich Academy before heading to Yale, where she played on the squash team. Her love for the outdoors has been a lifelong passion, nurtured through shared experiences with her father, Terry Betteridge, who is also a Greenwich native and resides on Old Mill Road. Whether she is enjoying the tranquility of the walking trails, or running up and down the unforgiving hills of backcountry Greenwich, Coco is happiest when she is outdoors.
Jason, originally from Philadelphia, went to Episcopal Academy and graduated from Harvard where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He spent a decade working in Greenwich at Silver Point Capital before starting a packaging business that eventually brought him to Los Angeles. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, Jason currently runs a nutritional supplement business called Human Improvement, which he founded in 2020.
Outside of work, Jason is an avid sports enthusiast, with a love for golf, surfing, skiing, and the Philadelphia Eagles. But his greatest affection lies with dogs, particularly Mookie, who has been a loyal companion over the years. Mookie’s journey is a unique one; originally from the streets of Tijuana, he spent a few years on the beaches in Venice with Jason and Coco. He now thrives in the lush woods of Greenwich, where he loves exploring the great outdoors.
Coco and Jason married in January 2024 in Cartagena, Colombia and have just welcomed their first child, Theodora Haven Brown, on February 18th, 2025. “Having grown up in Greenwich, I am thrilled to be starting our family here and showing baby Teddie around town,” Coco expresses.
The couple enjoys exploring the nature preserves and trails of backcountry Greenwich, which they are looking forward to sharing with Teddie. As they settle into their home on Bedford Road, they look forward to continuing to build their life in the lovely community of Greenwich, CT.
