Backcountry Greenwich welcomes all to its Sixth Annual Round Hill Association Neighbor Day. Activities begin at 9:00 am and end at 4-5:00 pm with a Tailgate Drinks and Snacks gathering at the Audubon Parking Lot.
Backcountry could be described as the lungs of Greenwich. It has hundreds of acres of open space, most providing trails or gardens for our residents to enjoy. On October 5, 2024, fifteen Backcountry institutions, veggie, food and wine providers, and community organizations will again open their doors to celebrate fall.
New opportunities/events this year are:

The Round Hill Association is happy to present the many institutions and stores that flourish in Backcountry. By clicking on the entities’ icons, you will be taken to their website.
When one crosses north over the Merritt, to what is colloquially called ‘Backcountry’, the green countryside presents a way of life different from much of Greenwich. It is bucolic with lots of open space for recreation and exploration. In addition to many trails, populated both by people and horses – the Audubon and Land Trust and Nichols Preserve, there are farms for fresh produce, such as Versailles and Augustine’s, as well as yummy food and wine – Happiness Is, The Clubhouse at the Griff, The Round Hill Store, The Study Fine Wines and Spirits, and even art and sculpture at the Brandt Foundation.
